Hand Knit, Antique Lace T-Shirt Sweater
Hand Knit, Antique Lace T-Shirt Sweater
Hand knit short sleeve sweater, t-shirt style, with signature drop stitch webbed detail. Constructed from the finest lace weight 100% Merino wool; locally and ethically sourced from a small woman run fiber farm in Hudson Valley, New York. Hand applied antique lace fragments (c. 18th-19th century) are embroidered within the knit to create a one of a kind signature textile.
Naturally dyed, Black Walnut, overdyed with Japanese mud-dye technique. Bengala (Japanese mud dye) is made of natural minerals derived from the soil; it brings us ancient colors as a sustainable textile dye with no toxic chemicals or heat involved.
Variation of the antique textile is unique to the piece. All handcrafted details, including wear and mending are an inherited part of the textile’s history. One of a kind.
